I am sure you can put me right here but I thought that there was a weight restriction for traffic passing through the village.
But (Parish plan again) there was a question asking if it should be re-instated or words to that effect.

Has it gone? and why has it gone? Rolling Eyes I for one can do without the earthquake sypmtoms of heavy lorries coming through.

Hi Lilyfern

Have just been catching up with the forum, and I agree, I think you have only had one response from any questions that you have asked on the forum. I have asked several questions myself, never with anything positive resulting from the powers that be within the parish (ie Parish Councillors, Parish Plan committee, village hall commitee).

I've recently moved in the village and thought this would be a good way to get a feel for things and see how things worked, and find out whos who in the zoo, as I am not around much to attend all these meetings the locals have. I just wish they would give us the same information as they get on a daily/weekly basis so that I could feel a part of the community.

I think this is a lovely village and has some lovely people in it, buts its the same names i keep getting if I want to know about things, surely a place this big, doesn't rely on 3 or 4 people to run it?! Confused

Ah thank you for the support, I really agree with you but shhhhhhhhh

I really think this forum is for people attending council meetings, if you don't attend then you will get ignored but shhhhhhhhhhh keep it under your hat as I think its a secret.
That's why the same four people answer.

Laughing

Anyway welcome to the village, but if you need to know anything or ask permission for anything, I would go straight to Bassetlaw. Very Happy

It's a popular misconception that the forums are only populated by Parish Council attendees. I can assure you it isn't true! On occasions I wish it were!

The forums are here at the request of the Parish Council who sponsor the village site. So, regard it as a (possibly risky) indication that they actually want your opinions, whether you attend the meetings or not.
