The past few weeks has seen an increase in broken glass around the rear of the village hall grounds (bottles taken from the bottle banks and being smashed by youths - witnessed by local residents, not just a cynic gossiping!) Also tiles have been smashed near the front entrance to the Village Hall doors.

Please lets get something going on for the "youths" of the village, to allow them to respect what is, in effect theirs to enjoy.

Surely someone must have a good / fresh idea to keep the kids entertained until a decision is made on whether the Youth Bus / Youth workers will become a regular thing for the village (pending).

Please don't respond with telling me to do something, as for those of you who know me, know I have been involved with every aspect of youth facilities that we have tried to run in the village for the last 3 years Exclamation

Hear what you're saying, but if they weren't smashing bottles and generally being a nuisance I doubt there would be any feedback about their behaviour and lack of anything for them to do.

There's no excuse for behaviour like that, and expecting the village to provide the "entertainment" is not the answer. It's the parents job to make sure their kids understand that smashing bottles, kicking over planters, intimidating residents and all the other anti-social behaviour is not acceptable.

As usual the village is expected to "fix" the symptom rather than the disease.
