Is it my delusion or are the site posts dwindling.
Maybe a poster at the village shop may encourage new users?

No, it's not your imagination.
We can't make people post comments if they don't want to. I make sure the site is advertised at every opportunity, but it's up to people to put the effort in. Same old story really.
Perhaps everyone is really satisfied with the village? _________________ The Webmaster

I have not ever seen the advertising of the website and I have spoke to a few locals and nor have they.
Maybe if there was some kind of sign or poster put in the Local pub, local shop regarding the website it would help.
I agree that you are totaly in the hands of the users of the website... there always seems to be lots of posts viewed but very little people post a reply!
I just hope the website does not fall to the same fate as the pub did, closed down due to lack of users! |

Well, some of the flyers distributed to every house in the village have had the web site address on them.
I also managed to insert a full-page advertisement in the Parish Plan Questionnaire for both the village site and the Village Hall site. Since this went to every house in the village there are really no excuses for not being aware of their presence ... unless of course you're one of the 200-odd people who binned it before getting to that page.
It's worth pointing out that there seems to be far more people reading the content than there are contributors to it. So there may be more interest than is apparent from the more active members. All I can ask is that you spread the word and encourage people to have their say.
In the meantime, I will persevere and I take your point about more prominent advertising, so thanks for that. _________________ The Webmaster
