Telephone Supplies and Services

All landline telephone access is controlled by BT. There is no cable (fibre-optic) in the village, and probably never will be due to the small population and distance from the nearest exchange in Retford.

The exchange was upgraded some years ago which allowed a version of broadband access. This can now be provided by suppliers other than BT as part of the "unbundling" process.

In reality, due to the poor quality of the copper cable between the village and the exchange at Retford, we're unlikely to get anywhere near the speeds advertised by any provider.
