Bin Collections |
|
|
|
Bin collections are
generally on each Tuesday of the week. This can vary
if Bank Holidays (such as Christmas) interfere. If
the days change there is usually a notice in the
local papers, so please check. |
|
|
|
The Blue and Green
bins are collected on a two-week cycle. The current
collection schedule is shown in the
Village Calendar. |

Waste Banks |
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
A number of different
waste banks are currently provided at the Village Hall.
These are emptied on a regular basis but do tend to
fill up quickly. |
| |
| If you do find
them full, please DO NOT just dump your
bottles, or any other bags or boxes of waste,
by the bins. The collection service will only empty
the bins and will not clear up the site. This then
quickly becomes an eye-sore, attracts vermin and can
be dangerous.
Please take any
overflow waste to one of the other sites mentioned
on this page, or back to your own Green or Blue
bins. |
| |
| If you find the bins full please
contact the Parish Council who arrange
collections. |
| |
| Note that only
the "igloo" bins are available for public use; the
green and blue wheelie bins are for the use of the
village hall only, so please do not use these. |
|
|
|
Clothing Banks |
| |
| Clothing Banks
for clothing only are
provided at the Village Hall. |
|
|
|
Bottle Banks |
| |
| Bottle Banks for bottles only are
provided at the Village Hall.
There are currently 2 Green Igloos for Green
Bottles, 1 Brown Igloo for Brown Bottles, and 1
White Igloo for White Bottles. |
| |
|
Waste Disposal Centres |
| |
| Due to the
closure of the Daneshill Road centre on 30th April
2009, there is now only one Disposal Centre nearby.
It will take household waste which isn't picked up by
your bin collectors, e.g. green garden waste, your
old fridge or freezer and unwanted furniture.
These sites
DO NOT accept asbestos,
car tyres, trade, commercial or industrial waste.
They are not licensed to do so and would be breaking
the law if they accepted them. |

| Bulky Items |
| |
|
In
addition to the weekly collection of wheeled bins,
Bassetlaw District Council also provide a
chargeable service to enable you to dispose of
those items that are too large to go in your wheeled
bin.
For
example if you have a bed, mattress, washing machine
or wardrobe etc. that you no longer require they
will collect it for you. |
